Renting the Nomad

The Nomad Playhouse is available for a wide range of events – theatrical performances, film screenings, dance, and music recitals and concerts, CD release parties, seminars, lectures, art exhibits, and more.

    • ​155 seat auditorium.

    • Proscenium stage (26' wide x 38' deep).

    • Sound isolated tech booth with viewing windows, calling stations and radio.

    • Green room/dressing room including makeup counters, vanity lights, costume racks, bathroom and shower.

    • Easy access to camera mount positions in balcony.

    • Professional Lighting and Sound equipment (see below).

    • Baldwin Artist Series Baby Grand Piano.

    • Young Chang upright piano.

    • ETC Ion with 2x10 fader wing, dual screens.

    • High-amperage digital dimming system.

    • Repertory plot primarily consisting of ETC ColorSource units supplemented by up to 48 incandescent fixtures, primarily from our large stock of ETC Source Fours and Jrs.

    • 2 1200 watt vintage follow spots (by request only)

    Please be sure to inquire as to current status of lights, keeping mind that changes may occur with regard to available number and focus of lights.

    • Midas M32R mixing console with 14 available XLR inputs and 8 available XLR outputs.

    • iPad/Android/PC/Mac device remote mixing over our wireless network (via FREE Midas or Behringer X32 app).

    • Midas DL 16 stage box (onstage), with 12 available inputs and 4 available outputs, permanently networked to console via Cat5 for reliability and speed.

    • Qlab 4 (license supports audio and projection).

    • Outputs available for digital recorders or cameras.

    • Board records directly to USB for a board mix.

    • 4 B52 15" speakers at 300w each.

    • 2 B52 18" subwoofers at 1200w each.

    • 2 powered 12" Behringer 250w active wedge monitors.

    • Dedicated in-booth stage monitoring via 4 microphones over stage.

    • Dedicated green room monitor speaker.

    • 2 Sennheiser XSW 1-825 wireless handheld microphones.

    • 8 Shure SM58/SM57.

    • 1 Audio Technica 2020 and 2021.

    • Additional microphones upon request.

    • 3 DI (1/4" TS or TRS-> XLR) available for a variety of purposes

    • Motorized, full size Stewart film screen.

    • Projection Design F32 1080p projector using HDMI from either house computer or an external source such as a laptop (networked to stage for easy access).

    • Blu-ray/DVD player.

    • Technical crew, i.e. light and/or sound board operators available for hire upon request at reasonable rates. Training is required to operate lights, sound, or projector systems.

    • A building supervisor, independent of crew, will be present at all times during rentals using theatrical lighting, sound or projection systems at the Nomad.
